What are we looking for: We are seeking a motivated Business Development Intern for a 3-month summer internship. Being a startup company, we seek a candidate who can work independently, take responsibility, and demonstrate resourcefulness in their role. The intern will work under the mentorship of the company's leadership team and will support the formulation of pricing strategies, implementing marketing initiatives, and developing segmentation approaches, contributing to the expansion of Hefring Marine's IMAS solution.

This three-month position is funded by the Rannis Student Innovation Fund (Nýsköpunarsjóður námsmanna)

Job Title: Business Development Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness.
  • Support sales and marketing development and implementation initiatives.
  • Participate in customer meetings and assist with sales materials.
  • Conduct market trends and competitor reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to support the expansion of Hefring Marine's market reach.
  • Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks as needed.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Business, Marketing, Finance or related degree program.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with marketing tools, platforms, and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a related field is a plus but not required.
